Woke up to cooler temps.
Decided on an outing to the centro storico of Vicenza.
Found a ghost town.

Ahhh, summer.

  1. You are definately in the north. Your city is so clean. It looks like you had a great Sunday! Wishing you a fantastic week to come. When do you go back to school?

  2. I start in a couple of weeks. Italian school for M doesn't start until nearly mid September! It's a good thing bc she has lots of summer homework to complete.

  3. We went downtown on Tuesday and it looked the same. We were the only people in Piazza di Signori too! You take wonderful photos!

    1. Are we the only people left in the city? Seems so, doesn't it? Ironically, every single one of my country neighbors seems to be here. Thanks! The photography is a hobby, or obsession, not sure which word is accurate!

  6. :D haven't been to Vicenza forever, but I don't mind. One afternoon in the center fills my appetite for the next three years :)
That is why I love august here - there is no-one! My village is quieter than usually and calm. as if the time has stopped.

Meanwhile in the south...it is a bloody mess! We used to go to Puglia every summer but now...we are trying to go there either in July or in September!

    1. I like the city!!! I grew up isolated in the country, not unlike our paese now. I do love it, but there are times I wish I lived right in the thick of the centro storico.
